About Us

Taxi Trade Promotions started life producing taxi driver training material in London for the infamous Knowledge. Our material proved so popular that it led to a demand for a training School which we called Knowledge Point. Knowledge Point School was created in Islington, London N1 in 1985 and the Company became a Limited Company.

We quickly outgrew our original facility and in 1989 moved to our current address in Caledonian Road, London N7. Within the School we created a small shop supplying qualifying and past trainees with driver accessories, many of which were reference items which were produced in-house. Again expansion on this side of the business led to us opening a retail shop in Penton Street, N1 opposite London’s Public Carriage Office.

The on-line side of the retail business trades as Taxi Trade products and as we go more national so does our client base and reputation. Part of that reputation lies with the very experienced team of staff that have joined us over the years.
